Pough Participates In Annual Coaches Fundraiser

Greenville, SC--South Carolina State Head Football Coach Buddy Pough will once again join the football coaches from around the state in the name of charity. The annual South Carolina Coaches for Charity will be held on Wednesday, July 26^th at the Hyatt Regency Greenville. Nearly 300 guests will be in attendance.

Spend an evening with South Carolina's top college football coaches just weeks before the 2017 season kicks off. This eighth annual event benefits several charitable organizations throughout the state, chosen by the coaches. It features the head football coaches on stage together, food, drinks, along with a live and silent auction.

The coaches being represented are:

Mike Ayers (Wofford)
Fisher DeBerry (formerly of the Air Force Academy)
Clay Hendrix (Furman)
Will Muschamp (South Carolina)
Buddy Pough (South Carolina State)
Dabo Swinney (Clemson)
Brent Thompson (The Citadel)

Each will bring their supporters to Greenville to help raise money for their respective charities. Money is also raised during the evening to help sponsor single-parent children attend Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) summer camps.

There will also be several legendary coaches and VIP's attending as Honorary Chairs. Invited guests include coaches Art Baker, Willie Jeffries, Sam Wyche, Ralph Friedgen, Jerry Moore, Tom O'Brien, Bobby Johnson, Dal Shealy, Danny Ford, Dawn Staley and many others.
