Leading up to the 2016 Women's Soccer Senior Day ceremony this Sunday, we thought it would be fun to sit down with the seniors and ask them a few questions about their time here at SC State. Today, we chatted with senior midfielder
Justina Jarema.
Q: What is it like being so far away from home (Highland, Utah)?
A: It's hard but makes you appreciate your family and friends at home even more. I don't miss the cold though!
Q: What was your experience like here at SC State?
A: Totally different from how I imagined it would be. The south is very different from the west coast, but I'm grateful for the southern hospitality and hope to take those qualities with me in life wherever I may end up.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: To start my career in mechanical engineering.
Q: What will you miss most about playing collegiate soccer?
A: Having no other worry on my mind but to play the sport that I love with women that share the same passion.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do besides playing soccer?
A: Spend time with friends and family and watching Netflix.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Chili dogs and lasagna
Q: What is one interesting thing about you that most people do not know?
A: I enjoy drawing on shoes when I have free time.
Q: Who is the most influential person or persons in your life?
A: My dad, Michael Jarema.
Q: Why did you choose to come to SC State?
A: To experience a different environment and travel the east coast, live in the warm weather, and of course, to play soccer while earning my degree.
Q: What is your most memorable moment as a student at SC State?
A: My first time going to a dance at Dukes Gym.
Q: Who is your favorite celebrity or professional athlete?
A: Chris Hemsworth for his looks. Will Ferrell for his jokes.
Q: What is a quote or motto that you live by?
A: He who stops being better, stops being good. – Oliver Cromwell
Q: What is one cool thing about this season so far?
A: We actually have enough players to substitute during games.
