ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State men's and women's cross country teams will open their 2016 campaign Saturday (9-3-16) at the Carolina Challenge, hosted by the University of South Carolina at its new Sandhill Research and Education Center.
Fifteen colleges and universities will compete in the meet, which gets underway at 9 a.m. with the women's 5K. The men's 5K will follow at 9:40. Admission is free.
The meet is the first of nine events on the SC State 2016 schedule, including two that will be hosted in Orangeburg, according to Coach
Tim Langford, Bulldog cross country and track and field coach. The events hosted by SC State will be at the John Matthews Industrial Park on Highway 301 North.
