ORANGBURG, SC – Funeral services for former South Carolina State basketball player Larry Artis, 65, will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Greenville Memorial AME Church, 6116 Moneith Drive, Charlotte, NC. Visitation is set for 2-3 p.m. at the church. Artis, 65, died May 4 in Charlotte.

A Wilson, NC native, Artis played basketball three seasons (1969-70 thru 1971-72) at SC State where he earned his bachelor's.
