ORANGEBURG, SC--The South Carolina State department of athletics will honor the 2015 MEAC regular-season champion Bulldog men's tennis team, along with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, May 5, at 11:30 a.m.in the President's STATE Room (Hugine Suites).

The event is open and free to the public.

The recently renovated and upgraded SC State University Hardeep Judge Tennis Center will be officially dedicated during the special ceremony, which will also include a "sendoff" for the men's tennis team, which earned a berth to the NCAA Tennis Championship.

The Bulldogs will play 10^th seed Duke, in the opening round of the 64-team championship field of the NCAA Division I Team Tennis Championship Saturday, May 8-9 at the Amber Tennis Stadium.

The first match begins Friday, May 8, between Tennessee and Stanford at 10 a.m. (EST), followed by Duke and South Carolina State at 1 p.m. The winners of the two matches will face each other Saturday, May 9, at 1 p.m.

The 16 regional champions will head to the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas, to compete for the NCAA Men's Tennis Title May 14-19.
