NORFOLK, Va., – One hundred and one (101) South Carolina State University student-athletes were named to the 2014-15 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Commissioner's All-Academic Team, the league announced Wednesday. This year's number is higher than last year's total of 96 student-athletes and the second highest behind Howard with 159.
A total of 1,096 student-athletes from the conference's 13 institutions received all-academic awards. The team honors student-athletes, including sophomores to seniors, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
