MYRNA, Del. – The South Carolina State men's and women's cross country teams closed out their 2015 season Saturday (Oct. 31) at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Championships at the Delaware State University Outreach and Research Center.
The men finished tenth (10
th) overall out of twelve (12) participating MEAC schools with 253 total team points. UMES scored 25 points to win its sixth overall MEAC title, the second straight. The Hawks averaged a time of 25:49.28 on the 8K course.
Meanwhile, on the women's side the Lady Bulldogs finished twelfth (12
th) out of 13 participating schools with 340 total team points. Florida A&M scored 22 points to win its eighth overall MEAC title and fourth in a row. The Lady Rattlers averaged a time of 18:20.58 on the 5K course and had all five runners finish inside the top eight.
