Edward Stephens recently earned preseason recognition, with College Sports Madness announcing its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Preseason All-Conference selections.
The College Sports Madness staff picked the top men's basketball players from each conference, in which these players made significant contributions to their respective teams during this past season.
Palmer received Second Team honors and enters his final season as the Bulldogs top rebounder and leader in blocks. The Summerville, SC native averaged 7.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game last season.
Stephens, the sophomore sensation led the Bulldogs in scoring last season with 12.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in his rookie year. He ranked among the top freshman in the conference, while earning Mid-Eastern Athletic Rookie of the Week honors six (6) times during the 2014-15 campaign.
SC State opens the season on Friday, November 13 on the road against College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
