Complete ResultsATLANTA, Ga. – Four SC State track and field athletes competed at the 2014 Georgia Tech Invitational last weekend at Griffin Track on the campus of Georgia Tech.
Antavia Owens turned in a sixth-place finish in the 100 meters in 11.88 seconds. She ran the 200 in 24.66.
In the men's 400-meter hurdles,
Barry Bethea came in 6
th in 51.96.
Xavier Molette placed 7
th in the discus with a throw of 50.97 meters (167 feet, 3 inches) and
Michael Wamer had a jump of 14.88 meters (48-10) in the triple jump.
Owens (100 meters) and Bethea (400 hurdles) will compete at the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Fla. at the University of North Florida from May 29-31. Wamer will jump at the 2014 USA Track and Field Junior Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore. at the University of Oregon from July 5-6.
