ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The South Carolina State men's and women's track and field programs had 14 athletes named to the 2013-14 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team, released Wednesday by the conference.
SCSU had seven men and seven women on the team, which is comprised of sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.
"I applaud our track and field student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 2013-14 academic school year," said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. "I would further like to thank the coaches and academic support staffs for their contributions to the academic success of our student-athletes."
