Women's MEAC Championship Bracket
CAYCE, S.C. – The South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs advanced to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Tennis Championship Final on Saturday, after a 4-1 victory over Howard in the semifinals at the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center.
 
The reigning MEAC Champion Lady Bulldogs, who entered as the second seed in the south, will face Bethune-Cookman, the top seed in south. The Lady Wildcats Bethune-Cookman defeated Morgan State, 4-0, to advance to the Championship Finals. First serve begins at 9 a.m.
 
South Carolina State took an early 1-0 lead going into singles play after winning the doubles at the number two (8-3) and number three (8-2) spots.

In singles action, the Lady Bulldogs won in straight sets at the number two, three and four spots as sophomore Klara Dohnalova topped Howard's Umarah Mughnee (6-3, 6-0), freshman Intissar Rassif defeated Stacey Roheman (6-2, 6-1) and  junior Victoriia Khatcei knocked off Maame Osei (6-1, 6-0). Howard picked up a point at the number five position as Brooke Hawthrone defeated Dakota Brown (6-0, 6-2).
 
The Lady Bulldogs will compete for their 10th straight MEAC women's title and 11th overall.

South Carolina State will seek to avenge on early season defeat to Bethune-Cookman on Saturday when they meet for the league crown. First serve begins at 9 a.m.
