Men's MEAC Championship Bracket
CAYCE, S.C. – The South Carolina State Bulldogs advanced to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Tennis Championship Final on Saturday, after a 4-1 victory over Florida A&M in semifinal action at the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center.
 
The top-seeded Bulldogs defeated third-seeded Florida A&M, 4-1, to earn a spot in tomorrow's finals against the second-seeded Spartans of Norfolk State in 12 noon showdown.
 
NSU knocked off fourth-seed Bethune-Cookman, 4-0 to advance to the championship finals.
 
South Carolina State captured wins at the number two and three doubles positions to take a 1-0 advantage.
 
In singles play, the Rattlers got a 7-6, 6-4 win at the number one position by Rodney Carey, but South Carolina State advanced to the championship with victories at the number three with  freshman Stanislav Baco  def. Zack Evenden  6-3, 6-3,  freshman Soufiane Mouline def. Carlos Waitman 6-4, 6-3 at the four and  freshman Martin Figura def. Roberto Ortiz 6-1, 6-0 at the number six spots.
 
 The Bulldogs will vie for their seventh consecutive and 13^th overall MEAC title.
