ORANGEBURG, SC-- The South Carolina State women's softball team will open up conference play, when they face the Lady Hawks of Maryland-Eastern Shore in a conference doubleheader Thursday (March 20) at the Lady Bulldog Softball Field. First pitch is at 1 p.m., followed by Game 2 at 3 p.m.
UMES enters the contest with a 3-21 overall record, while SC State is 5-13 on the season. The Lady Bulldogs split a pair of contest in their last outing against Presbyterian College on last week, while the Lady Hawks will try and snap a seven game losing streak against SCSU.
SC State returns to action on Saturday (March. 29) when they hit the road to take on the Lady Aggies of North Carolina A&T in a pivotal MEAC conference doubleheader. First pitch will be 1 p.m., followed by Game 2 at 3 p.m. in Greensboro, NC.
