Sarai Waters Lead Lady Bulldogs at Will Wilson Citadel Invitational

Charleston, S.C. (Sept. 28, 2013)—Junior Sarai Waters ran a 19:30.30 to lead the SC State women's cross-country team last Saturday at the Will Wilson Citadel Invitational. Waters time was good enough for a third place finish among Division I competitors.

Senior Tamara Smith finished 13th in a time for 20:46.76 and freshman Jacoy Hutto clocked a 21:41.61 to round out the top three competitors for the Lady Bulldogs. Freshman Aubree Smith continued to improve coming in at 22:37.86. Junior Breonna Green ran 23:23.76 and Danielle Murphy ran a 26:36.51 in her first ever cross-country meet.

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Cary, NC next Saturday, Oct. 5, to participate in the ¬¬5th Robert Shumake HBCU Challenge.
