Pough Join Coaches Around The Palmetto State For Charity Benefit Dinner

Tickets are still available

COLUMBIA, SC-- South Carolina State University head football coach Buddy Pough will be taking part in the inaugural South Carolina Coaches for Charity event to be held Wednesday July 30th, 2013 at the Marriott Columbia Downtown (1200 Hampton Street) in Columbia, SC.

For one evening, South Carolina Coaches for Charity will bring together the top college football coaches from around the state, including Mike Ayers (Wofford), Kevin Higgins (The Citadel), Bruce Fowler (Furman), Steve Spurrier (South Carolina), Dabo Swinney (Clemson) and South Carolina State's own Buddy Pough.

It will feature a Cocktail Reception, Low Country Cuisine, comments from the coaches, a live and silent auction and plenty of fun. The Reception begins at 6:00PM just outside the Capital Ballroom. Dinner will follow as we begin seating around 6:45PM. All coaches will be in attendance, as will several Honorary Chairs and special guests.

The night is 100% for charity. Each head coach in attendance will designate a charity that receives a portion of the night's proceeds. All benefiting charities will have a representative in attendance.

Former U.S. Air Force Academy head football coach and South Carolina native Fisher DeBerry is hosting the event through the Fisher DeBerry Foundation.

For all SC State University football faithful and alumni, this will be a great way to get up close and personal with Coach Pough and also help contribute to the different charities involved at this event. Coach Pough's charity of choice he will be representing at the event is the F.C.A (Fellowship Of Christian Athletes).

Tables and individual tickets are now on sale for the event, but are limited. For information, visit www.SouthCarolinaCoaches.com, or contact Fisher DeBerry Foundation representative Burt Trembly at (702-622-2275). or Burt@CoachingCharities.com.
