Men’s Basketball Host Annual Bulldog Basketball Camps

 Camp Welcome  Letter                                   Bulldog Camp Brochure                                                                                                                                                                ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's basketball program will host their annual Bulldog Basketball Camps beginning June 12-14 with Team Camp, July 22-24 Individual Camp, and rounding out August 3 with the Elite Camp .
 
All Bulldog Camps will be held at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center on the campus of South Carolina State University with more than 40 teams from Georgia, Florida, North & South Carolina expected to be in attendance for this year's camp.
 
Bulldog head coach Murray Garvin, who is entering his third season with the program, begins his first full season as head coach along with his staff revived the summer basketball camps after a nine year absence last season.
 
“We are excited here at SC State about having the community and high schools be a part of Bulldog basketball,” said Garvin. “I have been around summer basketball camps for 15 years, but nothing compares to the excitement we have put together for our individual and team camps here at the University.
                                                                    
The Team Camp being held June 12-14 will highlight high school junior varsity and varsity boy's teams from various states with the cost being $250 per team (covers games only).  Lodging will be provided with a fee of $25 per bed per night each player. The dining hall will be available for teams although it's optional at a cost of $40 per player for three days/ 3 meals being served daily.
 
The Individual Camp held July 22-24 geared for boys ages 6-16 years of age, will offer an excellent opportunity for young boys in a highly motivated learning environment. Instructional drills will be run by the Bulldog Coaching Staff, in addition the camp will provide daily contest where you can win prizes. The cost per camper will be $85 (sibling discounts $10 off for each sibling), and you will be responsible for bringing your own lunch daily. Campers can be dropped off at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center (S-H-M) daily starting at 7 a.m. Pick-up will begin promptly at 4 p.m. concluding at 5 p.m.
 
The application deadline is July 12, with a free T-shirt provided to each camper attending.
