SC State Women’s Soccer Closeout Three-Match Road Swing at Howard

Jr., Janell Cash leads the Lady Bulldogs with 10 points

Orangeburg, S.C.--The SC State women's soccer team will close out its three-match road swing, tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 17, at Howard. The contest, which is set for a 5:30 p.m. first kick, is also the final road match of the season for the Lady Bulldogs.

SC State (6-8-1) dropped its second straight match, falling to Delaware State, 0-1, on Tuesday (Oct. 15). The Lady Bulldogs defeated Howard 2-0 earlier this season in Oliver C. Dawson Stadium. Junior Janell Cash leads the team with five goals for 10 points. Dominique Brown and Kaitlynn Cortez each have nine points for the Lady Bulldogs. Brown has recorded four goals and one assists while Cortez has netted two goals with five assists.

The Lady Bulldogs will return Dawson Stadium for its final two matches of the season. SC State will face NJIT this Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. and Francis Marion next Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. Saturday's match will be senior recognition day for the Lady Bulldogs, in which five senior members will be honored in a pre-match ceremony at approximately 12:45 p.m.
