PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – The South Carolina State women's golf team will be one of six college squads competing for the title at the three-day (May 11-13) 26
th PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship beginning Friday at the PGA Golf Club.
Over 200 contestants from over 40 colleges and universities will compete in the 54-hole event, which will also crown men's champions in Division I, Division II and NAIA, as well as in the women's Division I competition the Lady Bulldogs are entered in. There is also an Independent Division for both men and women.
The SC State women, under fourth-year head coach
Sandra Burris, will be joined in the field by Bethune-Cookman, Hampton, Lincoln, Texas Pan-American, and Texas Southern.
The 54-hole stroke play women's competition will be played on the PGA Golf Club's Ryder Course. Tee time is 7:30 a.m. daily.
