ORANGEBURG, SC – The SC State will be one of ten colleges and universities participating in the 18th annual women's Collegiate Golf Classic set for Saturday and Sunday (Apr. 28-29) at the Stone Mountain Golf Course, Stone Mountain, Ga.

Following a Friday practice round, the 36-hole tournament's first round gets underway Saturday at 8 a.m. on the 5,460 yard, par 71 course. The final 18 holes will be played Sunday, beginning at 8 a.m.

The winner of the event, sponsored by the Women in Golf Foundation, Inc., takes home the Renee Powell Cup.

The Lady Bulldogs finished second in last year's tournament, seven strokes behind winner Alabama State. Joining the two in this year's field are Benedict, Bethune-Cookman, Hampton, Jackson State, Prairie View, Savannah State, Spelman and Texas Southern.
