SC State Tennis Teams Open Up 2012 Season On The Road

JACKSONVILLE, FL—The South Carolina State men's and women's tennis team will open in the 2012 Spring Season play, beginning with a three-game road swing against Jacksonville University Saturday at Keith Watson  Family Tennis Complex.
           Coach Hardeep Judge who enters his 11th season has guided the Lady Bulldogs to seven straight conference league crowns, while the men have won the last seven out of eight during Judge's tenure as head coach.
          On the men's side, the defending MEAC champion South Carolina State Bulldogs concluded the 2011 season with a 3-0 conference mark and 15-3 overall record en route to their third consecutive MEAC crown.
          The reigning MEAC women's champion, South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs earned the nod to capture the 2011 crown in the southern division. The Lady Bulldogs were 4-0 in MEAC play and 19-2 overall last season. Returning a number of veteran players and 2011 Rookie of the Year AKilah James, South Carolina State will look to extend their title victories to eight.
        Both teams will return to action on Sunday (Feb.5) when they remain in the sunshine state to take on Stetson University in a non-conference matchup beginning at 1 p.m
