ORANGEBURG, SC – South Carolina State's Friday practice was interrupted by a thunder storm and finally called by head coach Buddy Pough. The Bulldogs did manage to complete some special team drills before the rain came.
SC State will conduct its second scrimmage of the season Saturday morning, beginning at 10 a.m. The scrimmage is a part of the team's “Meet the Players Day and Fan Fest” sponsored by The STATE Club, the Bulldog Boosters. Fans will also get a chance to meet the other SC State intercollegiate squads as they will be introduced as well.
Other events scheduled include MEAC Championship ring presentation to the football, volleyball and men's and women's tennis squads at approximately 12 noon, and lunch, pictures and autographs with the players at 12:30 p.m. The cost of lunch is $10 for adults and $8 for those 17 and under.
There will also be a “Throwback” sale of Bulldog apparel – jerseys, T-shirts, shorts, etc. The public is invited to come out. Free posters and schedules will be distributed.
