ORANGEBURG, SC—South Carolina State University will honor it's 2010 Mid-Eastern Athletic Tennis Champions, The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs with a send-off Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in the STATE Room (Hughie Suites).
Coach Hardeep Judge and the tennis team will be recognized for winning their sixth-straight Mid-Eastern Athletic crown on the women's side, its last six-of-seven league titles with the men.
Mayor Paul Miller will present both teams with a proclamation of the city as well as some surprise guests congratulate Coach Judge and The MEAC Champs for a job well done.
The South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs (16-5) will face No.3 ranked Lady Gators of Florida (24-2), who received the No.3 seed in the 64-team draw, Friday May 14 in the first-round contest beginning at 2 p.m., while The Bulldogs (14-10) will take on the No.6 ranked Gators of Florida (19-4) Saturday May 15 at 12 p.m.in the opening round with the winner advancing to the second round.
