ORANGEBURG, SC -- The South Carolina State soccer defeated UNC-Pembroke 2-0 Wednesday night at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium. The victory was the second of the Lady Bulldogs' seven-game spring schedule, which concludes Apr. 13 with a home match against Coastal Carolina (7 p.m.)

In the win over UNC-Pembroke, Delaney Marier (Fr., Hastings, MN) scored the Lady Bulldogs' first-period goal, while transfer Olivia Moore (Jr., Powhatan, VA) tallied the second goal in period number two.

“We did not create many chances,” said SC State head coach Glad Bugariu, “But we were efficient in the opportunities that we got. We defended well and I'm pleased with that.”
