MARIETTA,GA—The South Carolina State women's golf team finished third with a team score of 329 behind Bethune-Cookman(322) and leader Hampton University who finished with an overcall score of 319 at the Women's Collegiate College Championship at the par-71 City of Marietta Golf Course.
The first-round of play was suspended due to bad weather Saturday, with the final 18-holes of play resuming Sunday.
Among the teams competing in the final-round Sunday for the Women's Collegiate Golf Classic Championship were South Carolina State, Alabama State, Benedict College, Bethune-Cookman University, Grambling State, Jackson State, Savannah State, Southern University, Spellman College, Texas Southern, and Hampton University the "2009 Women's Collegiate Champions".
Hampton took home the 2010 Renee Powell Cup for the second straight year, while SC State finished a close third place.

Honesty Biggers(41) (35) winner of the ProAm event on Saturday finshed second overall with a 7-over par 39 and carded an overall score of 76. She was followed by senior
Addi McLaren (39) (43) and freshman
Marina Terry (42) (40) tied for eight with a score of 82. Freshman Cabriel Dunn (47)(42) tied for twenty chipped in a score of 89.
The 16th Annual Women's Collegiate Golf Classic, was presented by the Women In Golf Foundation, Inc with all proceeds used to support the HBCU Women's Golf Teams and Girl's Golf Programs.
