VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., -- Seven South Carolina State men's and women's tennis players were named to the All-MEAC Tennis team the league announced.

Freshman Maria Cracium of Romania was named to the MEAC All-First Team, along with sophomores Laura Bosneag of Romania and Daria Sekerina of Russia.

On the men's side sophomore Dymtro Kovalevych of Czech Republic, freshman Alexsander Malko of Romania, juniors Gabriel Meana of Spain and Radek Pivonka of Czech Republic were all name to the All-MEAC Second Team.

Coach Hardee Judge and the defending MEAC Champs will face Morgan State on Friday in the first-round of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Tennis Championships.  The No.1 seed Lady Bulldogs will battle the No.4 Lady Bears of Morgan State, beginning at 12 noon.  The No.2 ranked SC State Bulldogs will face No.3 Morgan State in a 12 noon showdown.

Tennis action continues on Saturday with semifinal play beginning at 8:30 a.m. for the women and noon for the men. The championships wraps up on Sunday, April 18 at 9 a.m. with the women's championship final followed by the men's championship finale at 11:30 a.m. The championship is free and open to the public.
