SC State Men Ink Two Basketball Prospects

Both Signees are from Junior Colleges

ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State men, Thursday, announced the signing of two basketball prospects to National Letters of Intent for the 2010-11 season.

The two Bulldog signees, both from junior colleges, are Presano Bell, a 6-8, 230 center of Queens, NY (Thomas Edison HS) and Polk (Fla.) Community College and Omar Sanders, a 6-8, 220 forward of Spartanburg, SC (Spartanburg HS) and Wabash (Ill.) Valley College.

Bell averaged 11.1 points and 7.3 rebounds, while Sanders averaged 12 points, 6.8 rebounds and two blocks.

SC State finished 18-14 overall and 10-6 and in third place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference this past season. The Bulldogs, who lost to Morgan State in the MEAC Championship game, lost three seniors but just one starter -- leading scorer and rebounder Jason Flagler.
