ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State soccer team closed out its 7-match spring exhibition schedule Tuesday with a 1-0 victory over visiting Coastal Carolina at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium.
Transfer Olivia Moore (Jr., Powhatan, Va.) scored the lone goal only seconds into the match to give the SC State women their second win in six days and the third of a campaign in which Coach Glad Bugariu's team battled some of the top soccer programs in the Carolinas.
“It's (the victory) a good way to go out,” Bugariu said following the match. “It was a quality win against a quality team.
“We defended well and limited their chances,” he continued. “I was pleased with the effort and happy that we ended the spring on a winning note.”
