ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State soccer team will close out its seven-match spring exhibition schedule Tuesday (Apr. 13) when Coach Glad Bugariu's team hosts Coastal Carolina in a 7 p.m. match at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium. Admission is free.
Glad, who guided the soccer team to a 10-7-3 mark last fall -- the first winning season in the program's history -- used the spring schedule to challenge some of the top soccer programs in the Southeast, including the University of South Carolina, which ended last year as the nation's No . 8 team. The Lady Bulldogs also met ACC power NC State, UNC-Charlotte, Furman, Wofford and UNC-Pembroke in exhibition matches.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Wofford and UNC-Pembroke in close matches, while losing close matches against USC, NC State, UNC-Charlotte and Furman.
