ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State track and field teams will resume their schedules Saturday at the Weems Baskin Relays at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Sixteen teams, including six from the Palmetto State, are scheduled to participate in the one-day event which gets underway at 8 a.m.
The SC State men and women, both coached by third-year head coach Tyree Price, will be trying to increase their number of qualifiers for the upcoming Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championships at Greensboro. Thus far, SC State has qualified 21 athletes – 11 women and 10 men – for the May 5-6 competition, with several earning qualifying marks in multiple events.
