VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - ESPN announced today that the South Carolina State Bulldogs will play the Georgia State Panthers in the eighth annual BracketBuster's scheduled for Feb. 19-20. The game will be played at the Georgia State University Sports Arena in Atlanta, Ga. either Feb. 19 or 20 at a time to be announced.

The BracketBusters event is a two-day men's college basketball extravaganza pitting potential NCAA Tournament hopefuls against each other.  For the fifth straight year, ESPNU will televise five BracketBusters games while ESPN2 will televise six contests.

The Bulldogs will join MEAC rival Morgan State in the event, giving the league two participants. The Bears are making their second appearance in the event this year and will meet Murray State in a Feb. 20 televised contest at noon at Murray Kentucky. The Morgan StateMurray pairing was one of 11 televised games announced during the BracketBuster's Selection Show Monday (Feb. 1) on ESPNU.

The Bulldogs/Panthers matchup marks the second straight year that the MEAC will face a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) member. The MSU Bears defeated interstate rival Towson last year, 80-64.

The 98-team field will feature 12 teams from the Mid-American and Colonial Athletic; 11 from the Ohio Valley, 10 from the Missouri Valley, Horizon League and Metro Atlantic Athletic; nine from the Western Athletic and Big West; four from the Big South and Southern; three from the America East; two from the MEAC; and one from the Big Sky and Summit League.
