Virginia Beach, VA--SC State sophomore Bria Brimmer has been named to the 2009 MEAC Volleyball Preseason Team. Preseason honors, which were announced today, were voted on by the league's head volleyball coaches and sports information directors.
Brimmer, a 5-6, setter from Austin, TX (Connally, HS), recorded 923 assists (7.44 per game), with 169 digs, 124 kills, 36 aces and 21 total blocks during her freshman campaign. For her efforts she was named to the 2008 MEAC Second Team.
The Lady Bulldogs will begin their 2009 campaign in Durham, NC, Friday-Saturday, Aug. 28-29 as they participate in at the North Carolina Central Tournament.
