Orangeburg, SC- The South Carolina State men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will compete at the Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, SC. The meet, which is hosted by Coastal Carolina, will be held this Thursday-Saturday, March 19-21, 2009 at the Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Clemson, South Carolina, ECU, Maryland, St. Johns, The Citadel, Charleston Southern, South Carolina State and UNC Wilmington as well as SC State are just a few of the 38 teams scheduled to compete in this year's meet. Also making the trip to Myrtle Beach is Division II power St. Augustine, who is fresh off its 38th national title at the D-II level.
The meet will open on Thursday with the multi-events and conclude on Saturday with the 4x400 meter relay.
