Orangeburg, SC- The South Carolina State men’s and women’s track and field teams will travel to Savannah, GA this Saturday, Feb. 28, to compete in the Savannah State Eye-Opener. The meet, which is being hosted by Savannah State University, will be the first of the outdoor season for the Bulldog Track Teams.
Both teams will use this meet as a transitional meet from the indoor season to the outdoor season. “We are looking to start the outdoor season off on a good note,” says second year head coach Tyree E. Price. “We’re trying to set some standards that we can build on throughout the outdoor season.”
The Bulldog track teams will have a week off before hosting the 2009 Robert “Jet” Johnson Relays on Saturday, March 14, 2009.
