ORANGEBURG, SC – The SC State golf team will be one of eighteen (18) teams participating in the Pinehurst Challenge, hosted by College of Charleston, Monday and Tuesday (Nov. 2-3) at Pinehurst, NC. The contest wraps up the fall schedule for Coach Sandy Burris’ team.
The event will be contested on the famed Pine Hurst #6 course, the site of previous women’s US Open Championships.
Other teams joining the Lady Bulldogs and host College of Charleston in the field are Wichita State, Cincinnati, Bucknell, Morehead State, Creighton, Jacksonville State, Old Dominion, Jacksonville, Eastern Kentucky, Charleston Southern, The Citadel, Appalachian State, Winthrop, USC Spartanburg and Radford.
SC State will be led by junior Honesty Biggers of Orlando, Fla. She will be supported by seniors Addi McLaren of Ontario, Canada and Geneva Mackey of Tucson, AZ, and freshmen Allison Brown of Fayetteville, Ga., Cabriel Duren of Oviedo, Fla., and Marina Terry of Gastonia, NC.
First-round action Monday begins at 10:40 a.m.
