ORANGEBURG, SC – The SC State women's golf team shaved 21 strokes off its first-round total in carding a 36-hole score of (358-337) 695 to finish 14^th in the 15-team CSU Wendy's Invitational at the Coosaw Creek Country Club in Charleston (Oct. 19-20).

            Coastal Carolina won the event with a two-day total of (301-285) 586, 19 strokes better than host Charleston Southern which carded a (298-307) 605.

            Junior Honesty Biggers led the way for the Lady Bulldogs with a 36-hole total of (77-80) 157, good enough for a tie for 22nd among 75 competitors.
