Daytona Beach, Fl—The South Carolina State men's got off to a slow start on last weekend finishing ninth at the Bethune-Cookman Spring Invitational held at Indigo Lake in Daytona Beach, Fl.
The two-day tourney featured the host Bethune-Cookman University, Florida Gulf Coast University, St. Johns University, Florida A&M University, Florida Atlantic University, Lewis University, Savannah State University, SC State University, Hampton University, Georgetown College, and Winston-Salem State University.
Junior, Robert Biggers of Orlando, Florida, led the Bulldogs finishing 28th overall shooting a combined score of 154 (77-77).
“I think the weather conditions caused a little problem for our team,” said coach Richard Arrington. “We never really got back in sink after that.”
Senior, Corey Jozefiak finished tied for 34th with a two-day total of 157 (81-76), while sophomore Hector Arroyave finished tied for 37th with a combined score of 158 (85-73).
SC State will travel to Tallahassee, Fl this weekend to participate in the FAMU Spring Invitational on Saturday.
