ORANGEBURG,SC--JuCo transfer Darnell Porter poured in 22 points, while freshman point guard Tyvon Williams chipped in 16, as the South Carolina State Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on the season with a 88-81 win over Allen University at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center Thursday.

Virginia Beach, VAThe SC State women’s volleyball team will be the third seed in the Southern Division for the 2009 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Championships.
            SC State finished its 2009 regular season campaign, 13-19 overall and 4-4 in the Southern Division of the MEAC.

ORANGEBURG, SC—SC State had three players to score in double-figures but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Bulldogs suffered a 67-60 loss to the UNC-Asheville at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
 
SC State appeared to have their offense working as they jumped out to an early six point lead (8-2) at the 13:27 minute mark of the first half.

Orangeburg, SC—For the first time since the 2005-06 season the SC State women’s basketball team won its season-opener as the Lady Bulldogs defeated Savannah State, 60-50. The non-conference matchup was contested in the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center on the campus of SC State University.
