Bulldogs Battle No. 6 Vols In NCAA Men's Tennis Championships

KNOXVILLE, TN—The South Carolina State Bulldogs is set to battle host sixth-ranked Tennessee in the opening round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship held Friday at 2 p.m. (EST) at Barksdale Stadium.
        The Bulldogs (16-4) were the winners of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and received the league's automatic bid to the NCAA field. The Vols (25-3) of the SEC is currently ranked seventh nationally by the ITA.
         SC State is not ranked but has players up and down the lineup accustomed to winning their courts this season. Artemiy Nikitin leads the singles lineup from the No. 3 position with a near perfect 19-1 record this season, including a 16-0 mark on court 3.
         Tickets for each day are $5 for adults and $3 for students with ID. They will be available for purchase at the front gate of Barksdale Stadium. All seats are general admission.
