Bulldogs Conduct 2nd of 15 Workouts

Sr. QB Richard Cue
ORANGEBURG, SC – South Carolina State held its second spring football workout Thursday morning. During the approximately one and forty-five minute workout, the Bulldogs continued installation and also emphasized special teams. In addition, the Bulldogs did some group work, according to head coach Buddy Pough.

“We continued to install the offense and defense we will be implementing this fall,” said Pough. “We also gave some attention to special teams, including field goals and PATs. We also worked with our punters and all concepts of punting.”

The Bulldogs also did some team-style drills with all three quarterbacks getting some work in. Battling for the signal-calling duties are senior Richard Cue, the starter most of the last two seasons, redshirt junior Tedarrius Wiley and redshirt freshman Adrian Kollock.

The trio participated in several passing drills and some group work in the workouts, the last one to be conducted in shorts and helmets only. On Saturday, the Bulldogs will don shoulder pads for the first time for their 8 a.m. drill.

Pough's team will culminate spring drills Apr. 13 with its annual Garnet and Blue game at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium, beginning at 1 p.m.
