MEAC Football Press Luncheon Set for Friday

ORANGEBURG, SC – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference will hold its annual Football Press Luncheon on Friday (Jul. 20) at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel in Norfolk, Virginia, beginning at 12 p.m.
            Press and Media will hear from each of the league's head football coaches and two players from each institution during the event. The preseason All-MEAC team and predicted order of finish for the conference championship will also be released during the luncheon.
           South Carolina State has been the preseason favorite each of the last four seasons. The Bulldogs lived up to their preseason billing three times as they won outright titles in 2008 and 2009 and shared the crown with Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M in 2010.
       Last season, Coach Buddy Pough's team tied for second in the MEAC with a 6-2 mark and was 7-4 overall.
