SC State To Honor 2012 MEAC Champion Men's & Women's Tennis Team

ORANGEBURG, SC—South Carolina State University will honor the 2012 Mid-Eastern Athletic Tennis Champions, Bulldogs and Lady Bulldog tennis teams with a “Salute and Send-off” Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in the STATE Room (Hugine Suites).
       Coach Hardeep Judge and the tennis team will be recognized for winning their eight-straight Mid-Eastern Athletic crown on the women's side, its last eight-of-nine league titles with the men.
        The women, made an historic run this season finishing with a perfect mark of 19-0, and will battle last year's first-round opponent No. 2 Florida (21-2) in Gainesville, FL, on Friday, May 11, in a 2 p.m. showdown at the Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex.
        Meanwhile, on the men's side the Bulldogs (20-2) will travel to Athens, Ga. to play No. 2 Georgia (23-2) Saturday May 12 at 12 noon, at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex, Athens Ga., in the opening round with the winner advancing to the second round.
