PORT ST. LUCIE, FLL – The South Carolina State women's golf team followed Saturday's school-record round of 318 with a team total 352 Sunday, its highest round of the tournament in settling for a fourth-place finish in the 24th PGA National Minority Collegiate Golf Championship at the PGA Golf Club.
The Lady Bulldogs finished the 54-hole event at (338-318-352) 1,008, well behind the leaders, whose scores had not been posted.
Junior Honesty Biggers finished with a 54-hole total of (82-76-80) 238 to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Freshman Cabriel Duren followed with a (79-82-88) with a 249, while senior Geneva Mackey carded a (88-81-90) 259 and freshman Marina Terry a (89-79-90) a 262.
The event closed the 2010 spring schedule for Coach Sandy Burris' team.
