MYRTLE BEACH, SC – South Carolina State freshman Tamala Daley amassed 4023 points to finish seventh in the women's Heptathlon at the Coastal Carolina/Shamrock Invitational Friday at Doug Shaw Stadium, while the Bulldog's Leighton Brown, a sophomore, was ninth in the Decathlon with 4691 points. Both Daley and Brown were first in the 100 meters in the competition.

The overall three-day track and field competition will conclude Saturday.
