ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State women's golf team will open its 2010 spring schedule Monday at the two-day (Mar. 1-2) Fighting Camel Classic at Buies Creek, NC.
The 36-hole event, hosted by Campbell, will be contested at the Keith Hills Country Club (No. 1), a par 72, 6012-yard course. Play gets underway with a shotgun start daily at 9 a.m.
Participating teams include Appalachian State, host Campbell, Cleveland State, Dayton, Pfeiffer, Presbyterian, St. Andrews, St. Francis (Pa.), South Carolina State and Towson. The event is the first if five spring matches the SC State women will play in.
Making up Coach Sandy Burris' team are seniors Addi McLaren and Geneva Mackey, junior Honesty Biggers and freshmen Cabriel Duren, Allison Brown and Marina Terry, who is recovering from a knee injury and will return to competition later this month.
