ORANGEBURG, SC—South Carolina State conducted its fourth spring practice Saturday morning. The three hour workout was the first in full gear for the Bulldogs who have 11 practices remaining in spring drills. The morning workout consisted of offensive and defensive schemes with perspective position coaches.
“First day we worked in full pads and helmets it was good but we got some work to do,” stated SC State head coach Buddy Pough. “Some players need more attentive detail, so right now we are just going through the motions.”
“We will continue to work at things to get players adjusted to their roles. Our running back and wider receiver situation is something we look at very closely. Lenell (Elmore) is a guy that can make some big plays for us at wide receiver, so it's important other guys step up as well.”
