ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State women's tennis team opened its 2010 campaign with a 7-0 victory over visiting Wofford Friday.

            SC State, 1-0, captured all three matches in doubles to earn the doubles point, then swept the singles for the shutout by Coach Hardeep Judge's team. Wofford dipped to 0-2 on the season

            Capturing the doubles for SC State were Daria Sekerina and Maria Craciun, I-Chun Chen and Sarai Torres, and Fanni Fricska and Laura Bosneag. Winning in singles were Sekerina, Fricska, Craciun, Torres, Bosneag and Chen.

The Lady Bulldogs, who will play a 22-match schedule this year, return to action Feb. 1 at Davidson.
