Former SC State Volleyball Player Erinn N. Phillips Passes Away

Former SC State Volleyball Player Erinn N. Phillips
SC State University regrets to announce the passing of former SC State volleyball player Erinn N. Phillips. Phillips passed away today in her hometown of Inkster, MI after battling an extended illness. Phillips, 22, was a setter for one season (2007) for the SC State women’s volleyball team.
 
Phillips was a biology major who attended SC State from August 2007 until December 2008 when she was forced to leave school due to her illness. Prior to attending SC State, she was a standout athlete at Wayne County Community College in Detroit, MI. While at the community college, Phillips finished in the top 50 in assists (2005-2006) and serves (2005-2007).
 
Phillips was the oldest of three children. No arrangements have been announced.
