Bowling Team Opens 2009-10 Campaign

ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State bowling team opens its 2009-10 campaign Saturday (Nov. 7) at the two-day MEAC Southern Division competition at Winston-Salem, NC. The event will be one of five the Lady Bulldogs will play this season, under second-year head coach Lorra Bailey.

 Saturday’s competition begins at 10 a.m. with Sunday’s round scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

            Making up this year’s team are seniors Teriny Bailey, Darci Evans, Brittani Haynes and Mirisa Hicks, junior Stephanie Sinclair, and freshmen Mariah Hebbe, Serena Favors Brienna Jones and Marina Akers.

GREENSBORO, NC – The South Carolina State bowling team’s strong showing at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) 2010 MEAC Bowling Championship at the Gate City Lanes came to an end Sunday with a 4-2 loss to former national Champion Maryland-Eastern Shore, who went on to face Delaware State for the championship.
