SC State Falls to Florida A&M, 0-3, in Women's Volleyball

Tallahassee, FL—The SC State women’s volleyball team fell to Florida A&M University, 0-3, (22-25, 23-25, 9-25), in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) match-up in the Al Lawson Center on the campus of Florida A&M University. With the loss the Lady Bulldogs fall to 12-16 overall and 3-3 in the MEAC while the Lady Rattlers improve to 12-8 overall and remain perfect in the MEAC at 6-0.
SC State was led by Melissa Robinson and Elizabeth Webb who both put down five kills in the contest. Bria Brimmer finished with a team-high 20 assists while Lauren Harris picked up 13 digs in the loss.
FAMU was led by Jovana Blazeski who recorded a game-high 13 kills and 16 digs.
SC State will remain in the Sunshine State to take on the Lady Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman University. The contest, which will be played on the campus of Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, FL, is set for a 6 p.m. first serve on Friday, Nov. 6.
The Lady Bulldogs will return home to Dukes Gymnasium on Sunday, Nov. 8 when they host the Lady Aggies of North Carolina A&T in a conference matchup. Sunday’s match-up is set for a 1 p.m. start.

Virginia Beach, VA—The SC State women’s volleyball team will be the third seed in the Southern Division for the 2009 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Championships.
SC State finished its 2009 regular season campaign, 13-19 overall and 4-4 in the Southern Division of the MEAC.
