ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State men's basketball team hits the road for the first time this season as the Bulldogs travel to High Point, NC to take on the Panthers of High Point University Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Coach Tim Carter entering his third season at the helm for the Bulldogs (3-0) will look to improve to 4-0 on the season against High Point (2-2). The Bulldogs are led in scoring by junior transfer guard Darnell Porter with 14.3 points and sophomore center Rio Pitt with 8.3 points per game and 8.0 rebounds.
All-MEAC guard/forward Jason Flagler is averaging 7.3 points per game and grabbing 4.3 boards per contest.
South Carolina State will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Winston-Salem, NC to take on the Rams of Winston-Salem State University in a non-conference showdown.
